Ron is presently Chief Architect of Cisco Global Service Provider Internet of Things. Ron is looking at Service Provider solutions such as Smart Cities, LTE 4G and 5G, smart city Wifi, Analytics, IoT vertical applications and the monetization areas of these solutions. Ron has been driving Smart City initiatives and Smart City Wifi as a Platform working with SP’s and Cities globally. Ron, prior was the Lead architect for the development and strategy of Tier 1 Mobile SP Innovation Center focusing on IoT incubation solutions and development of such concepts as Connected Athlete, Connected Soldier etc. Ron is a Member of Mass Challenge – worlds Largest startup accelerator working with IoT startups, WBA – Wireless Broadband Alliance, working with MIT media labs, along with Boston and Cambridge areas startups around IoT incubation solutions.
Ron has extensive experience with Service Providers, Enterprise next generation verticals such as Retail, smart cities, analytics, Mobility solutions, SP Wifi, LTE, Sensor networks, Analytics, Monetization and IoT. Ron has written numerous white papers around topics such as Connected Athlete and Internet of Everything, Service Provider Connected stadium analytics and Monetization etc. Ron has been with Cisco for over 18 years and prior worked at Nortel, Baynetworks and Wang Labs.
