Biography:

David Tokunaga is vice president of product and business development at Boingo Wireless (NASDAQ: WIFI), where he is responsible for product management, partnerships and leading the Private Network commercial strategy. He brings more than 25 years of wireless industry experience to the role, specializing in telecom technology and products for Fortune 500 brands.

Before joining Boingo, Tokunaga led the Qualcomm Reference Design product management organization managing over $500 million in revenue from relationships with HP, Lenovo, Dell, Motorola, Fossil and Flex. Prior to Qualcomm, he held roles in product management, sales and business development at Nokia, Sprint and Geoworks.

Tokunaga holds multiple patents in mobile platforms, is a former board advisor for National University’s Graduate School of Engineering and past co-chair of the CDG’s Global Handset Requirements for Code Division Multiple Access standards committee.  

Tokunaga has an MBA from Brunel University London and a bachelor’s degree in political science and marketing from San Diego State University.
