Chris is Managing Director of GlobalReach Technology, the global provider of high-performance Wi-Fi solutions, service and analytics to the world’s leading service providers and their business customers. Chris has extensive international experience Wi-Fi, mobility and telecoms space, with more that 25 years experience with BT, Ericsson and Case Communications. Chris has served on the Board of the Wireless Broadband Alliance for 10 years as both Chair and Co-Chair and was instrumental in developing its strategy for growth and increased industry impact in the development of Next Generation Hotspot and the convergence of 5G and Next Generation Wi-Fi. Chris is also a member of the Connected Cities Advisory Board.
Previously, Chris was CEO of BT Openzone, provider of the BT public Wi-Fi service, where he led the deployment of more than five million Wi-Fi hotspots. He also developed partnerships with mobile operators for offload services and with venue partners in the hospitality and travel sectors. Chris led the BT negotiations with LOCOG to provide public Wi-Fi for the London 2012 Olympics. At BT, Chris was also Director Sales and Consulting, leading a global team to serve the needs of international telecom operators in US, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Previously Chris was Vice President for BT Ignite Content Hosting across Europe.
