Moath Al-Manea

Director, Spectrum Planning and National Cooperation, CITC

Biography:

is the Director of spectrum planning and national cooperation at the Communications and Information Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia. Moath is responsible for managing the National Frequency Plan (NFP) in Saudi Arabia, and supervising the execution of Saudi Arabia National Spectrum Strategy (NSS) 2020-2025. Moreover, he is administrating the National Spectrum Coordination Committee, which is responsible for managing on a national level, the use of spectrum across all sectors in KSA. Prior to that, Moath has worked as a telecom Quality of Service (QoS) engineer in CITC, monitoring the quality of telecom services provided to consumers. He also worked as a technology standardization engineer, in charge of researching and building radio standards for different services.

He also participated in several projects related to promoting 5G rollout, enabling IoT applications, and fostering public Wi-Fi deployment in the Kingdom. He also participated in a number of key ITU conferences.

Moath holds an MBA from King Saud University and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
