Biography:
Hema is currently the Director for Market Policy & Regulation in the IMDA, a statutory board in the Singapore government which regulates the infocomm, media and postal sectors, and comprises the Personal Data Protection Commission.
Hema and her team seek to create an environment for effective and sustainable competition in the infocomm, media and postal markets in Singapore through the formulation and implementation of policy and regulatory frameworks, as well as development strategies.
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Political Science, and an Honours in Political Science from the National University of Singapore. Hema also holds a Diploma in Competition Law from Kings College, UK.
